|Course Duration: ||This is a classroom program delivered in 4 hours. Course delivery shall be scheduled between the hours of 8am and 6pm.|
This unit of competency describes the skills and knowledge required to perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) in line with the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) Guidelines.
Skills must be demonstrated:
• working individually
• in an environment that provides realistic in-depth, industry-validated scenarios and simulations to assess candidates’ skills and knowledge.
Simulated assessment environments will simulate the real-life working environment where these skills and knowledge would be performed, with all the relevant equipment and resources of that working environment.
Connect People Training engages in best-practice assessment and applies evidence gathering using verbal, written questions and observation of participation in classroom discussion and activities.
|Entry Requirements: |
This course is suitable to anyone wishing to gain skills and knowledge required to provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) in line with the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) Guidelines. Students must have the physical capability to perform at least four minutes of uninterrupted CPR on both an adult and an infant resuscitation manikin placed on the floor.
Students must possess sufficient oral communication skills to make accurate verbal reports to their supervisor and emergency response services
