This unit covers the conducting roller operations in the civil construction industry

Purpose

Gain the knowledge and practical skills to conduct machine pre-operational checks, select remove and fit attachments, operate and relocate the machine and more

Entry Requirements

Participants must be working in civil construction and performing tasks operating Rollers in the workplace under appropriate competent supervision

Assessment Requirements

The course incorporates a variety of assessment tasks throughout including, but not limited to:
• Demonstrating an underpinning knowledge and skills
• Performance of tasks that reflect the way that they are performed in the workplace
• Evidence gathered based on the student’s own performance over time in the workplace.

This unit will be assessed on the job, in the work environment

Notes

Students will have operated the roller utilising a Record of Training Log Book to demonstrate a minimum of 200 hours of operation under the supervision of a competent person
