Entry Requirements

Participants must be working in civil construction and performing tasks operating self-propelled compactors in the workplace under appropriate competent supervision.

Assessment Requirements

The course incorporates a variety of assessment tasks including, but not limited to:
• Demonstrating an underpinning knowledge and skills
• Performance of tasks that reflect the way that they are performed in the workplace
• Evidence gathered based on the student’s own performance over time in the workplace.

Delivery Mode

This unit will be assessed on the job, in the work environment.

Materials or Equipment Required

Self propelled compactor and Log Book


Students will have operated the self propelled compator utilising a Record of Training Log Book to demonstrate a minimum of 40 hours of operation under the supervision of a competent person.
