|Course Duration: ||Training is delivered on the job. Students will have operated the roller utilising a Record of Training Log Book to demonstrate a minimum of 80 hours of operation under the supervision of a competent person.|
This unit covers the conducting roller operations in the civil construction industry.
Course delivery is at the employer workplace.
This unit will be assessed on the job, in the work environment. Assessment will take into consideration the personal safety of the student and be sufficiently rigorous to cover all aspects of workplace performance; including task skills, task management skills, contingency management skills and job role environment skills.
The following points characterise the best practice assessment that are applied by Connect People Training:
- Evidence is gathered using a range of assessment methods to allow the student to demonstrate both their underpinning knowledge and their skills.
- Evidence is gathered in the holistic performance of workplace tasks that reflect the way tasks are performed in the workplace.
- Evidence is gathered based on the student’s own performance over time in the workplace. The workplace supervisor signs off on the Record of Training Logbook to support the student’s performance.

Participants must be working in civil construction and performing tasks operating Rollers in the workplace under appropriate competent supervision.
